The trailer for Season 8 of The Walking Dead was released early Friday morning at SDCC! After the “Battle of Alexandria” at the end of Season 7, the prospect of the major story arc, “All Out War”, coming to the screen in season 8 is all the internet has been talking about. Well from the looks of it, we’re gonna get it!!!!
We’re in for a helluva ride during the 16 episode season, it looks huge!!! We see all our favorite characters (Well, the live ones anyway) back, and ready to kick some Saviour ass!
The Walking Dead Season 8 will premiere this October on AMC
We finally get to see Medusa’s hair at work in this new trailer for the upcoming Marvel TV series, Inhumans.
The first trailer left me a little apprehensive over this series, but the new trailer at least gives us a better idea of the scope in this new series. The biggest worry for me is the TV budget CGI used for the giant teleporting bulldog, Lockjaw. This new footage doesn’t exactly alleviate my concerns.
Playing fetch with a giant teleporting bulldog is a whole different “ballgame.”
Poorly rendered CGI can kill even some of the best television, and I would hate to see this series die just because they didn’t take the time to really sell Lockjaw with decent effects.
Medusa’s got what it takes to get out of any “hairy” situation
Marvel’s Inhumans will be premiering exclusively in IMAX Sept 1 and continuing on ABC Sept 29
The FX series American Horror Story has brought us Murder House, Asylum, Coven, Freak Show, Hotel, Roanoke, and now Cult. In true epic Comic-Con fashion, the title for season 7 was revealed via the teaser projected over the water against a mist wall.
Many hints have been previously given about the theme of AHS Season 7. It’s said Season 7 will partially be a fictionalized account of the 2016 election. Are we looking at a cult of a Trump-like politician rising to power? Further rumors suggesting the return Twisty the clown from AHS: Freakshow are all but confirmed by the disturbing number of clowns in the title teaser below:
I love that AHS is tackling cults, but why clown cult? Can’t it just be a run-of-the-mill “cut off your penis” cult instead?
American Horror Story: Cult is set to premier September 5th on FX. You can find additional information at their official site:

If you are planning to attend Comic-Con International in San Diego for the first time, here are a few things I have learned along the way to save a little money. Hey, it means more cash to tip your favorite artist (or donate to his or her favorite charity) who will be drawing that awesome portrait of you in his or her style or pick up that one awesome thing you just can’t live without.
1. Book a place to stay in advance.
Make sure it has a mini fridge and is close to public transportation. San Diego has great busroutesandlimitedtrolleyroutes. Public transit will save you on parking fees and frustration unless you have a friend who works downtown and has a reserved parking space or a friend who isn’t going to the con and can drop you off nearby. AirBnB comes in handy for finding a room where you can crash and make use of a kitchen.
2. Pick up supplies at the local grocery store/hole-in-the-walls when you arrive.
Here’s a quick list of places I liked to pick up supplies:
KSandwiches Vietnamese (7604 Linda Vista Road, San Diego, CA 92111)
MarukaiMarket Japanese mini mall (8175 Balboa Avenue, San Diego, CA 92111)
MitsuwaMarketplace Japanese market and café (4240 Kearny Mesa Road, San Diego, CA 92111)
DaisoJapan Japanese sundries (9420 Mira Mesa Boulevard, San Diego, CA 92126)
GrillHouseCafé Persian (9494 Black Mountain Road, Ste G, San Diego, CA 92126)
TraderJoe’s Everything (see website for the closest location near you)
3. Bring a plastic or stainless steel water bottle.
There are water fountains at the conventional hall. The key to surviving jet-lag and/or an overly air-conditioned convention hall is hydration!
Don’t Stay Thirsty My Friends…
4. Pack your lunch and some snacks.
You don’t necessarily have to be a gourmand, but there are lots of great places that make delicious, healthful food and/or have pre-packaged food for you to stock that mini fridge (see item 2 above). You can go so far as to pick up/pack your dinners, too, since there is just so much to see and do in and around the convention hall.
Ten Bucks Says There’s Chimichangas in there…
5. Bring a very specific amount of cash with you each day.
Once you’ve spent it, that’s it for the day. Don’t withdraw any more cash, or use your credit card. You may get hit with buyer’s remorse when you see that credit card bill or bank statement a month later.
