DAY 14 – MAGGIE

Holy shit! Arnold Schwarzenegger can act! While this smaller zombie film flew under most radars, I actually really enjoyed it. MAGGIE (2015) revolves around a father taking care of his zombie-virus-infected daughter, portrayed by Abigail Breslin. I have to say that Arnold is not doing Arnold as we all know him. His performance is subdued and genuinely authentic. This movie plays more like THE ROAD than any other zombie genre picture. It is a depressing drama piece that is miles outside of Schwarzenegger’s wheelhouse, but it works. It is a small story that could have been a stage play. I was really pleasantly surprised by this one. Good one, Arnold…

    Glad to hear that it is as good as the trailer made it out to be! It was already on my list of must see movies, but I guess it needs to be a bit closer to the top.
