DAY 3 – BOXCAR BERTHA

My choice for a film starting with the letter B is Martin Scorsese’s BOXCAR BERTHA (1972). With Roger Corman producing and starring a young Barbara Hershey, this delightfully raunchy and loosely-based-on-a-true-story flick plays like a B-grade BONNIE AND CLYDE. Chock full of violence, sex, and criminal activity, the movie is good fun all around. I must say that the way David Carradine’s character goes out is rough, but Bernie Casey’s shooting spree at the end sweetens that sour note a bit.
