DAY 16 – OFFICER DOWNE
This is, by far, the cheesiest movie to make it onto this marathon so far. Directed by Slipknot member Shawn Crahan, OFFICER DOWNE (2016) is a totally-bonkers, incredibly-frenetic, ADHD-paced, splatterfest of a movie. Kim Coates plays the title role perfectly as an over-the-top fucking/killing/mouthy badass invincible zombie-cop. Adapted from a graphic novel, the movie is absurdly fun and never ever meant to be taken seriously. The music video-style editing almost took me out of the movie in the first ten minutes, but after hanging on, the sheer insanity of the plot and action set-pieces are worth your time. The one-liners delivered by Coates are glorious. Have fun with this one…

Glad to hear that it is as good as the trailer made it out to be! It was already on my list of must see movies, but I guess it needs to be a bit closer to the top.
