DAY 18 – QUICKSILVER HIGHWAY

This little anthology horror movie flew right under my radar. I must say that I haven’t seen my wife find as much cathartic glee in one of my trashy movies as she did in Mick Garris’ QUICKSILVER HIGHWAY (1997) in some time. Where should I begin? How about with the gothy BDSM’ed-out Christopher Lloyd storyteller character? Maybe the Stephen King story about a killer set of chattering teeth? Perhaps it should be Clive Barker’s story of a plastic surgeon’s hands that revolt and want to be free of the oppression of being attached to his body? Honestly, I can’t decide. With two stories by great horror writers, one might think this could be a legitimately scary anthology. This is not the case. We could not stop laughing throughout the movie. This is perfect fodder for the MST3K treatment. Enjoy…
